Rebirth Counseling & Therapy Services offers internship placements for master’s-level counseling and social work students who are passionate about growth, serious about the work, and ready to develop both clinical and professional skills in a supportive, high-accountability environment.


What to Expect
Interns are immersed in real-world practice with supportive oversight and intentional mentorship and communication skill development. Training includes:

Telehealth delivery, clinical workflow, and ethical considerations

Assessment and documentation training

Case conceptualization and clinical reasoning

Learning practice systems
-
Shadowing clinicians with diverse experiences and skills

Caseload management and communication skill development

Brief description of your telehealth setup (workspace, laptop specs, internet, smartphone)

Two letters of recommendation (faculty or supervisor preferred)

Important Note
We’ve found that fully remote clinical training is significantly more challenging without prior hands-on experience.
For this reason, we strongly recommend that applicants have some form of prior in-person mental health experience (e.g., previous internship, crisis work, case management, or related field experience).
Students without this background may still apply but should be prepared to demonstrate a high level of initiative, self-awareness, and foundational clinical readiness.

One-Way Video Interview
Complete a short asynchronous interview to share your goals, clinical mindset, and readiness.
Step 3
Case Conceptualization
You’ll receive a client vignette and respond to brief clinical questions in writing to so we can better understand your clinical thinking.
Step 4
Final Interview
Selected applicants will complete a live video interview and submit two letters of recommendation
