Do any of these sound like you?
You feel as if you have been the cornerstone for everyone else, yet no one understands you have grown weary.
You feel like you have tied a knot at the end of a rope and are barely holding on.
You are a caretaker and feel drained or overwhelmed.
...I have been called to this profession to encourage you during this challenging time in your life.

I once heard someone say,
“Your center will hold.”
But what happens when a person feels anxious, overwhelmed, or sad and has nothing left to give? How can your “center hold” when you feel completely empty?
No matter how tired or defeated you may feel, you are strong enough to handle any obstacle you may face. Depressive and anxious thoughts will be overcome. You are not alone. I will walk with you as you begin your healing journey. “Your center will indeed hold.”

Help for Caretakers
As a compassionate Christian therapist, I provide a safe place for you to express and process your feelings. I am attuned to listening closely to your “inner heart” while providing you space to share freely. Your thoughts, feelings, and emotions work together. I help make meaning of your circumstances and reactions to your experiences. Change is possible! We will seek hope and deal with despair. Along our journey together, your skills will grow. You will learn to regulate your emotions. You will create lasting change that will empower every area of your life. Brighter days are possible. Let’s begin your wellness journey together.
First responders especially support our communities and are “unsung heroes.” First responders include Police Officers, Corrections Officers/Staff, Paramedics, Therapists, Doctors, Nurses, etc.
These front-line workers provide diligent service with little or no appreciation. Many of these workers experience vicarious trauma.
Vicarious trauma is when you experience trauma symptoms from someone else experiencing trauma. Vicarious trauma occurs when we hear about or see trauma that has happened to someone else.
